Thai Wathanaram Temple

Wat Thai Watthanaram is located in Tambon Tha Sai Lod, Amphoe Mae Sot, Tak Province. It is another beautiful temple in Mae Sot, built in the style of Burmese temples. The golden yellow color is dazzlingly beautiful. This temple was originally called “Wat Mae Tao Ngio” or “Wat Tai Yai”. This temple was built in 1857 by Mr. Mung, a Burmese from Shan State who immigrated with his family to live in Mae Sot District and was the first village headman of Mae Tao Village. He was later given the name Muen Aj Khamhaenghan.
