Thai Wathanaram Temple 🙏🙏🙏😇

Wat Thai Wattanaram is located in Tambon Tha Sai Lot, Amphoe Mae Sot, Tak Province. It is another beautiful temple in Mae Sot built in the style of Burmese temples, with a dazzling golden yellow color. This temple was originally named “Wat Mae Tao Ngio” or “Wat Tai Yai”. This temple was built in 1857 by Mr. Mung, a Burmese man from Shan State who migrated with his family to live in Mae Sot District and was the first village headman of Mae Tao Village. He was later given the name “Muen At Khamhaenghan”. In 1957, the Ministry of Education announced that this temple was a Buddhist temple under the Department of Religious Affairs. The upper swan is a female swan and the lower one is a male swan because there is a legend that the city inscribed in Mon language says “When the Lord Buddha arrived in this land, he saw two golden swans playing in the water and predicted that in the future this city would become a metropolis called “Hongsawadi City”. After that, the land where the two golden swans played in the water became a metropolis and later became the capital. And the story about the two golden swans was added, telling that the swans flew to perch on a small piece of land in the sea. This piece of land was so small that the female had nowhere to perch and had to perch on the back of the male swan. Mahamuni Temple The roof is a square shape with many levels, each level decorated with different patterns according to Burmese art. The base of the roof of the temple is decorated with small pagodas all around. Inside the Mahamuni Temple is the enshrined Phra Phuttha Mahamuni, a large Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, which is a replica of the real Phra Phuttha Mahamuni, which is a sacred Buddha statue of the people of Mandalay, Burma. It is a sacred Buddha statue that the people of Tak Province have a lot of faith in. In addition to Phra Mahamuni, inside the temple are enshrined Buddha statues of various styles, influenced by the Tai Yai art and culture, for worship. #Mae Sot #VisitMae Sot

Wat Ngam Mae Sot Wat Thai Watthanaram is a Mahayana Buddhist architecture influenced by Burmese Tai Yai art, making it beautiful and intricate. Inside Wat Thai Watthanaram, there are many interesting points, such as Phra Phuttha Maha Muni, which is a replica of the sacred Phra Phuttha Maha Muni. Inside the temple, there are also various Buddha images reflecting the influence of Tai Yai art and culture. The golden temple is a very striking temple with beautifully carved red patterns on the red walls. There are large golden metal statues in front, as well as a pair of golden swans, the Konawin pagoda, the reclining Buddha, the Buddhist museum, and the Phra Thep Than Jai and sacred objects for tourists to worship in the pavilion in front of the temple. #Songkran attractions #Mr. Travel
