Bamboo Rafting Down Mae Wang River

Amazing experience. Getting here was alittle tricky to start with. You can get a bolt taxi up but not back so your best option is to hire a private driver. We used a red songthaews (red truck), they will be all over the old city of chiang mai, just stick your arm out and they will stop. Tell them where you want to go and negotiate your price. They will drive you there, wait and drive you back. They usually speak little English but show them photos or place on Google maps and they will follow it. Make sure your following on Google maps they are going in the correct direction. On the side of the road are little stalls, all have life vests, you pay and collect your vest. You then get on the back of a pick up truck who drives you a few minutes down the road. Your raft and guide will be waiting for you.
