Finished eating..no money to pay..in Almeria 😱😰

Set Navigators from Guadalest to the hotel in Almeria that I booked, distance 354 km, time 3 hr 39 min. I started to use it, but I was still not very good at it. I had to set Google Maps on my phone at the same time to avoid mistakes. Leaving the hotel, the road was a slope down to the seaside city below, passing through Beniform without stopping. The way to Almeria was a road along the sea, through a dry area almost like a desert. There were colorful flowers planted along the road for hundreds of kilometers. The people who were responsible for taking care of the road tried very hard. The road was very good, almost no patches like in our country. Before reaching Almeria, on both sides, a distance of hundreds of kilometers, looking to the side, I saw shiny mountains. When looking closely, I saw plastic roofs of greenhouses. There were no forests or trees at all. I wondered where they would get water from because the surrounding area was a desert. I read that it was the driest area in Spain. I had never seen so many Green houses before. It was a mountain range that extended all the way to Almeria. I drove into the city following Navigators and Google Maps. I chose to stay in the center of the old city because I thought it was a small city. I saw a hotel with parking, so I thought it wouldn't be too difficult to get to. But when I entered the old city, it turned into a one-way street, a narrow street with large cobblestones in the old city style. Just a little bit more and I would reach the hotel. There was no parking on the side of the road. My heart was beating fast and fast. What should I do? What if I arrived at the hotel and there was no parking to ask for? ... And then... wow... I arrived at the hotel. On the opposite side of the hotel, there was a parking lot. There was space for 4 cars, and 1 was free for me. I quickly parked the car and ran into the hotel because I thought I wouldn't be able to park here for long. He asked me to give the car key to the staff. The staff drove the car to park in the lift and the lift went down to park in the basement. I knew because I was curious, so I pretended to forget something in the car. The staff took me to get something in the car. Then I found out... oh... it was parked in the basement. Almeria is a city with a palace called La Alcazaba, which is old and second in size to Alhambra. I stayed in this city because I would use it as a rest stop before reaching Granada. After checking in, it was time to walk around the city. I walked along Google Maps and not far until I reached La Alcazaba. When I reached the point where I had to buy a ticket, the staff asked where I was from. I told them Thailand. They tore off the ticket and told me that I could visit for free without paying. (I don't know why, but I saw other people doing the same thing.) I thanked them and walked around. It was an old palace that was no longer in a habitable condition. The carvings had been destroyed by time, but they still looked like they were there. The city walls were still intact and large. I took a lot of pictures because everything looked strange. After walking around for about an hour, the staff came to inform me that it was closing time. They closed the doors one by one and took the tourists out through the only exit. When I walked out, I started to feel hungry, so I looked up recommended restaurants on Google Maps. This city was not far from Morocco, so I chose to eat at a Moroccan restaurant. This restaurant was decorated in authentic Moroccan style and the food seemed authentic. The staff spoke English and recommended many things. I asked them to make sure that the dishes were not big, so I ordered many things as they recommended. All the dishes were big. I ate a little of each, savoring them and trying to eat as much as I could. After sitting for quite some time, I called the staff to collect the money. While waiting for the bill, I looked for my wallet... there was none... nowhere to be found. I had neither money nor a credit card... was it lost? I wasn't sure. Or did I forget it at the hotel? I wasn't that surprised because the hotel wasn't far away. At first, I thought I would leave my iPhone XS Max as a deposit. There was only my passport in the bag. If I left my iPhone, I wouldn't be able to return to the hotel. I couldn't find my way back without Google Maps on my phone. So I asked to leave my passport as a guarantee instead. The shop didn't accept credit cards (even if they did, they wouldn't have any). They didn't say anything. It took less than 20 minutes to reach the room. I found my wallet in the bag of food. When I moved my stuff out of the car, I stuffed everything in the front of the car into the bag, including the wallet. I was relieved that my wallet wasn't lost. I walked back to pay. The shop owner who couldn't speak English came out to apologize for holding my passport and let the female employee who seemed to be my daughter translate it...I gained another experience in my life. I walked around and looked at things that Google recommended as nearby tourist attractions and chocolate shops. I saw that there were a lot of them, so I bought a big box. It was quite expensive, more expensive than steak. Oh well...it might be delicious. After I was tired, I walked back to my hotel and tried the chocolate...hmm...it was sweet. 😒I felt a little sorry for the money. 😂🤣😂 This city seems to have a lively atmosphere at night, but it should be the natural atmosphere of the people here, not the lively atmosphere from the many tourists. They seemed to be coworkers. Or families come to eat and drink together more. There is no tourist atmosphere. Looking at the internet, there is no Thai language description of this city. This city is not very popular with tourists. It is probably because it is too close to Granada, the center of tourism. #Spain #Almeria #Europe
