When talking about Minami-Kokunicho, Kurokawa Onsen is the first thing that comes to mind! This place has always been a must-visit place in the minds of hot spring lovers, with the most healing "hot spring street" atmosphere in Japan 🔸Highlights: Japan's hidden hot spring town, hot spring food concentration, traditional humanistic scenery and unique mixed bath experience! If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, very healing, very Chill and want to walk slowly, sip, and take pictures, Kurokawa Onsen will definitely not disappoint. [Kurogawa Onsen Attractions Recommendation & Healing Experience Full Record] 1️⃣ Kurokawa Onsen Street Once you land, you will be surrounded by the retro feel of the whole street. Each hot spring inn is Japanese-style wooden architecture, small paths covered with moss, and even the rain is particularly poetic! I especially recommend you to take a leisurely stroll and visit the souvenir shops and cafes in Hot Spring Street to feel the locals. 2️⃣ Mixed bath in the open-air bath This is my first time trying a mixed bath! Just hold the hot spring hand shape can enjoy 3 different hot springs a day, to step into the hot spring a bit nervous, but the atmosphere is very relax, everyone is very friendly - especially the open-air bath can look at the river and woods soak, feel integrated with nature. 3️⃣ Hot spring egg food street Walking around the hot spring street, many small shops sell homemade hot spring eggs! The egg is smooth and flavourful. It is very warm to eat the egg while drinking hot soup. I recommend you to go to a small shop near "Disang Soup" and buy souvenirs after eating. 4️⃣ Horse meat sashimi first experience I don't know if I don't try it, it's really quite fresh! There are many restaurants selling horse meat sashimi around Kurokawa Onsen. The taste is not that fishy, but very chewy. It is recommended to eat it with ginger and soy sauce. It is an authentic Kyushu flavor. 5️⃣ Japanese traditional architecture photography check-in Cloudy and rainy days make the whole Kurokawa Onsen Street more atmospheric ~ You can take pictures along the street of quiet paths, retro wooden buildings + green plants. Friends who like humanistic landscape photography should not miss it! 📍Kurokawa Onsen Address: Kurokawa, Oji Manganji Temple, Minami-Kokuni-cho, Aso-gun, Kumamoto Prefecture Opening hours: 09:00-18:00 year-round [Practical Tips] 1. Hot Spring Street has many stone roads, remember to wear non-slip shoes; rainy days are also very tasteful, bring an umbrella to take pictures especially hipster. 2. Kurokawa Onsen "Onsen Hand Shape" can choose 3 hot springs a day to soak, the gameplay is economical and convenient - suitable for hot spring control extreme speed experience. 3. Horse meat sashimi is not necessarily sold in every store, you can ask the clerk first; if you do not eat raw food, spring eggs are a must try. [Transportation & Food Recommendations] Access: Take a bus from Kumamoto Station for about 2.5 hours directly to Kurokawa Onsen Station, get off and walk to Onsen Street. Must-try delicacies: In addition to onsen eggs, Maru Ichiya Horse Meat Restaurant offers horse meat sashimi and various Kyushu local dishes; Souvenir recommendation: Kurokawa Onsen has several handmade wagashi and trinket shops. Walking in the hot spring village on a cloudy and rainy day is another kind of comfort! Whether it's taking pictures, relaxing in a bath, or having a cultural style, you might as well put Kurokawa Onsen on your itinerary list next time you travel! #Kurogawa Onsen #Namikokunicho #Hot Spring Control Recommendation #New Mixed Bath Experience #Japanese Country Style
