Montreux, Switzerland is a beautiful city by Lake Geneva. The atmosphere of the city is calm and simple, not as crowded as in big cities. The lakeside atmosphere is very pleasant for a walk, with benches to sit and relax by the lake. There is a round wooden platform extending into the lake. Additionally, this city has a statue of Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the famous rock band Queen from the 70s to the 90s, facing the lake with his iconic pose. The statue is located in front of Place du Marche square.
