Located in Motobu Town, near the Churaumi Aquarium, Shimatonya is a restaurant that specializes in charcoal-grilled Agu Soki Soba and Tsukemen. The homemade extra-thick noodles are a perfect match with the grilled Agu. We ordered the Special Grilled Shima Pork Soba and Grilled Agu Soki Soba with Juicy Mozuku Seaweed Set. It was past lunchtime, but the restaurant was crowded, so we wrote our names on a list and waited in the car. By the time we entered the restaurant and ordered, the Special Grilled Shima Pork Soba had already sold out. There was a small size left, so we decided to have that. The charcoal-grilled meat had a fragrant aroma, and we were surprised at how big the noodles were, so you couldn't even see them. However, the soup was light with bonito stock, so it wasn't too heavy and we finished it all. The Churaumi Aquarium and Bise Fukugi Tree Avenue are located nearby.
