I had a chance to visit Muan, so I asked the locals for a restaurant recommendation, and they all unanimously mentioned "Daega Bone Haejangguk." I visited with high expectations, but was it really as rumored? I'll start my review now! Location and first impressions Daega Bone Haejangguk is located at 16 Myeonseong 1-gil, Muan-eup, Muan-gun. It's near Muan-gun Office, so it's easy to access, and there's ample parking, so it was easy to get there by car. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I noticed the familiar old restaurant feel and the open kitchen. I went to the open run...but the customers came in faster than the food came out...so there was a waiting line right away. But that doesn't mean the food came out slowly. (For reference, if it's not the open run, you might have to wait in line during peak lunch hours, so plan your time wisely!) Menu and ordering The menu was simple. The main menu item is bone haejangguk, and the price is 10,000 won, which is good value for money. The side dishes were basic, such as chive salad, kimchi, and pickled radish, but they were fresh and neat. Taste review The bone haejangguk finally came out! As soon as I took the first spoonful, I could feel the deep savory flavor in the broth. The deep flavor was added to the rich broth made by boiling the bones, making it perfect for hangover relief. There was a lot of meat, and the meat was so soft that it easily fell off the bones. The portion was generous, so it was really satisfying for me who came hungry. The best way to eat it is to remove the meat from the bones and dip it in chive salad. Atmosphere and service The atmosphere of the restaurant was comfortable and simple. The owner and staff were also friendly, so I ate in a good mood. However, they said they close early when they run out of ingredients, so if you go late, I recommend calling to check if they are open. Overall Review Muan Daega Bone Haejangguk lives up to its reputation as a local restaurant, and the taste, quantity, and cost-effectiveness are all satisfactory. If you go to Muan, be sure to stop by. I would 100% visit again next time! The business hours are from 11 AM to 3 PM, but please note that it is closed on Sundays.
