[Nagatoro scenic spot] Mount Hodo, accessible by ropeway

Mt. Hodo is a scenic spot located in Nagatoro Town, Saitama Prefecture. There are hiking trails, but this time I took the ropeway. It takes about 20 minutes on foot from Nagatoro Station to reach the ropeway station, Hodosan Rei Station. It takes 5 minutes by ropeway to Hodosancho Station. When you get off the station, you can see the magnificent view of the Chichibu mountain range, including Mt. Buko and Mt. Ryokami. Mt. Hodo is also home to Hodosan Shrine, which has been awarded one star by the Michelin Green Guide Japan. The main hall of Hodosan Shrine is located at the bottom of the mountain, and the Okumiya Shrine is located at the summit of Mt. Hodosan [497m]. It takes about 6 minutes to walk from the ropeway to the summit of Mt. Hodo. It was very relaxing and I received a lot of power from nature.
