Wat Phayap, Nakhon Ratchasima Province The royal temple of the northwest of Korat City was built during the reign of King Narai the Great at the same time as the city of Nakhon Ratchasima, hence the name 'Wat Phayap'. The stalactite and stalagmite cave is a replica of a natural cave. There are various sacred objects and ancient Buddha images from Korat City that are over 300 years old enshrined inside the cave. The large marble chapel is shaped like a junk, which is very beautiful and unique. It is an applied architecture of the late Ayutthaya period, built as a riddle and a memorial to King Narai the Great.
