Wat Sa Mani

Located in Ban Phaktab, Phaktab Subdistrict, Nong Han District, Udon Thani, Thailand. Wat Samani, Nong Han District, Udon Thani Province, was built in 1795 because originally Wat Samani had a pond. The elders said that there was a type of glass ball floating up from the pond, emitting a beautiful glow. When the villagers came to establish a temple at Ban Phak Top, they named it “Wat Sramani Choti.” After many years, the word “Choti” disappeared, leaving only the word “Sramani”, so it has been used as the temple’s name today. #thailand
