Iga Hachiman Shrine, the guardian deity of the Tokugawa family

#Travelingwithme I visited Iga Hachiman Shrine in Okazaki City. Iga Hachiman Shrine is a very popular shrine due to the influence of last year's taiga drama. It was founded by Matsudaira Chikatada, the fourth shogun, as a guardian deity for the prosperity of his descendants. Tokugawa Iemitsu, the third Tokugawa shogun, enshrined his grandfather Ieyasu, Tosho Daigongen, and was also made the guardian deity of the Tokugawa family. The shrine is a vivid vermilion color. The pebbles that appear in the national anthem Kimigayo are enshrined here, making it a famous power spot in Okazaki. Ieyasu would always visit the shrine to pray for victory before battle, and the more you hear about the history of Iga Hachiman Shrine, the more you want to visit. It's definitely worth a visit!
