The most famous landmark here is the rock resembling an elephant's trunk reaching out to the ocean. This spectacular limestone formation, shaped by years of wave erosion, has become a must-see destination for visitors to Okinawa. 🍃 Walking along the trails of Manzamo, you'll be greeted by refreshing sea breezes and an endless expanse of deep blue ocean. Though the weather had some clouds, it only made the ocean's blue appear even richer, contrasting beautifully with the moss and greenery on the cliffs, adding layers to the scenery. The well-planned trails are suitable for both seniors and families, making it a comfortable spot for leisurely strolls or photo opportunities. 📸 We arrived around sunset, and the lighting made the ocean and rocks appear more vivid and three-dimensional. Especially when viewed from the side of Elephant Trunk Rock, the sight of waves crashing against the cliffs was truly breathtaking. Coupled with the sound of the waves, it was a feast for both the eyes and ears. 🪨 In addition to its impressive natural formations, Manzamo is designated as a natural monument and is carefully protected by the local government. Nearby, there's a modern visitor center where you can replenish your water and take a short break. If you're traveling to the central or northern parts of Okinawa, this spot is highly recommended. It doesn't require much physical effort, and the photo opportunities are fantastic, making it a classic destination worth visiting.
