Take the train into the city quickly and conveniently. We bought ICOCA cards, which are prepaid cards for trains, buses, and convenience stores in Osaka, which made life a lot easier. No need to bother buying tickets often and also save time. ⸻ Small accommodation in Namba, the heart of the hustle and bustle We chose to stay at a small but nice hotel in Namba, an area that combines both hustle and business. The room was compact but well-organized. There was a soft, comfortable bed. After walking around all day, it felt like being at home. Especially at night, when you open the window, you can see the twinkling lights of the city. Osaka at night is so romantic and lively that it made us fall in love with the city from the first sight. ⸻ Takoyaki at Dotonbori, a legendary deliciousness When it comes to Osaka, we think of takoyaki! Dotonbori is a paradise for takoyaki lovers, as it is full of many authentic takoyaki shops. The takoyaki here is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The fresh, large pieces of squid are bouncy and topped with a special sauce that is just the right amount of sweet and salty, and a well-rounded mayonnaise. Most importantly, you can't stop eating it. We ate so many that we almost rolled back to our hotel! ⸻ Okonomiyaki, a Japanese pancake that warms your heart Another menu that impressed us a lot was okonomiyaki, a Japanese pancake that combines vegetables, pork, eggs, and a special sauce, topped with mayonnaise and sprinkled with seaweed. We went to try it at a small shop near our hotel. The owner makes it himself with his own hands and heart. Anyone who likes warm, home-style food will definitely love this menu. The rich flavor and aroma of the sauce made us finish the whole plate without realizing it. ⸻ Enjoy shopping in Shinsaibashi with cute things all over the shop Shinsaibashi is Osaka's most popular shopping district. There are fashion shops, cute souvenir shops, and chic cafes. You can walk around without getting bored. We like to shop while sipping on iced green tea at small cafes with great atmospheres. We get to take home lots of souvenirs at cute prices that won't break the bank. ⸻ A day of relaxation at Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine. The atmosphere is quiet and beautiful. When we want to take a break from the hustle and bustle, we travel to Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine, which has beautiful architecture and a shady atmosphere. We wrote our prayers on ema wooden tablets, praying for health and good luck. We experienced the peace and beauty of nature that made us feel extremely relaxed. ⸻ Have a blast at Universal Studios Japan, a world of dreams and fun. Universal Studios Japan is a place we don't want to miss! There's a Harry Potter zone that feels like you've entered a magical world, and a Super Nintendo World zone that's bright and full of fun rides. We had fun playing various rides, laughing with friends, and taking pictures with cute characters. It was a really happy and laughter-filled day. ⸻ Dotonbori at night with its never-ending lights and excitement Dotonbori at night is beautiful with its colorful neon lights, filled with music and laughter. We enjoyed walking along the canal, eating snacks, and taking pictures with the Glico sign, the symbol of Osaka.
