National Gallery of Norway 🇳🇴 - The Scream

The museum exhibits works by the famous Norwegian painter Edvard Munch. The world-famous "The Scream" is his masterpiece. "The Scream" became a masterpiece of expressionism, an artistic style that was not limited by reality but focused on the expression of emotions. Munch painted a total of four versions of "The Scream", and the oil panel and pastel versions are collected here. Before you begin your tour of the work, take some time to watch a short film about Edvard's life in its projection room. If you understand a little about Edvard's youthful sadness, you can be more immersed in the world of his works. The collection is quite rich, with more than half of Edvard's paintings and all of his prints collected here.
