Key highlights of the refurbishment include a modern makeover for the popular Le Grill restaurant, a redesigned pool deck with shaded cabana seating areas, four new connecting staterooms, updated soft furnishings throughout the ship, and sustainable technology upgrades. The redesign was led by globally renowned transportation design firm Stirling Design International, whose innovative approach perfectly aligns with Paul Gauguin Cruises' artistic ambiance and authentic exploration ethos. Interwoven latticework, canvas elements, and warm wood finishes harmonize beautifully with breathtaking tropical landscapes, showcasing a modern aesthetic that coexists with nature. Refurbishment highlights of m/s Paul Gauguin: Connecting Staterooms: Four new connecting staterooms have been added on Deck 7 to meet the growing demand for multigenerational (family) travel, complementing the highly successful "Moana Explorer Program" for children aged 6 to 15—a program developed in partnership with Te mana o te moana, the South Pacific's premier marine education and conservation foundation. Le Grill Restaurant Makeover: The open-air restaurant by the pool features a stylish, contemporary design with white wooden screens, ceramic tiles, soft oak furniture, and chic lighting, creating an elegant dining atmosphere for guests to enjoy the ship's renowned culinary offerings. Pool Deck Transformation: The pool deck now boasts new white canopies providing shade for cabana-style seating areas, while the pool's exterior is adorned with new mosaic tiles. Waste management improvements include glass crushers and cardboard compactors for efficient recycling.
