Penghu, Taiwan's remote island fireworks festival

Do you know Penghu, a beautiful remote island in Taiwan? It takes about 40 minutes to get there from Matsuyama Airport by domestic flight. The blue sea and pure white sandy beach can be seen from the sky. My expectations are skyrocketing. My goal is not to go to the beach, but to see the International Fireworks Festival, which is held every year from May. For some reason, it is held every weekday, Monday and Thursday. Last year, the drone performance was very popular in Taiwan! One piece floated in the sky. I enjoyed the music and drone show for about 20 minutes and was very satisfied, when the fireworks started. When you think of Taiwan, you think of firecrackers, and as expected, they don't hesitate to use gunpowder. The fireworks just keep going. The fireworks go up left and right as if they are crossing the Rainbow Bridge, and they go up very close to cover the beach. The spectacular fireworks closed the show. It took about 40 minutes in total. The location is Magong Beach. If you make a reservation in advance, you can see the fireworks from a boat. Most of the people there are locals, but you can get a good spot on the beach or 30 minutes before the start. It's so close that it might make your neck a little tired, but it's definitely worth it. There is also a BBQ terrace restaurant near the beach where you can enjoy grilled meat and seafood. Japanese is not as widely spoken as in Taipei.
