Wat Sri Komkham

Wat Si Khom Kham is an ancient temple that has been a part of Phayao for a long time. The highlight of this temple is the Buddha statue called Phra Chao Ton Luang, which is the largest Chiang Saen Buddha statue in Lanna. It is 14 meters wide and 16 meters high. The Phra Chao Ton Luang Buddha statue is not only a sacred Buddha statue of Phayao, but also a sacred Buddha statue of the Lanna Kingdom. Every Visakha Bucha Day, there is a traditional ceremony to worship Phra Chao Ton Luang in the eighth lunar month at Wat Si Khom Kham.
