Wat Niwet Thammaprawat Ratchaworawihan

Located on an island in the middle of the Chao Phraya River, opposite Bang Pa-In Palace, after visiting Bang Pa-In Palace, tourists can take a cable car across the river to visit this temple. Wat Niwet Thammaprawat is the only Thai temple in Thailand built in European architectural style. Because of its unique beauty, it has been elevated to the status of a first-class royal temple of the Worawihan type. The interior of the temple has been preserved in its original beautiful condition amidst the peacefulness of a riverside temple. This temple has ancient Buddha images that are beautiful works of Buddhist art. The first is the principal Buddha image named Phra Phutthanarumonthamophas, a stone Buddha image in the Naga Prok posture, Lopburi art style, a work of Khmer craftsmanship that is over a thousand years old. The Buddha image is enshrined in the area of ​​a large Bodhi tree that is also very old, right opposite the Phra Khanthararat Hall.
