Visit the ancient city of Ayutthaya...see the Chandrakasem Palace

Chandrakasem Palace or Wang Na is located on the banks of the Pa Sak River, Hua Ro Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. It was originally built as a residence for King Naresuan when he traveled from Phitsanulok to Ayutthaya. King Naresuan used this palace as a command center to fight the Hanthawaddy war and was also the residence of the King and many other Crown Princes, such as those seen in the drama Sri Ayothaya, which used Chandrakasem Palace as the location for filming Prince Suthat's residence. The current pavilion and buildings were built during the reign of King Rama IV, especially the pavilion with its 6 porches, which are very beautiful. In addition, there is the original Ayutthaya Provincial Office, the Ministry of Interior building, and a European-style telescope tower in the same area. Inside the pavilion, antiques such as Buddha images and palace items such as palanquins and thrones are kept. After walking around inside, go out to get some fresh air and walk around the balcony of the Ayutthaya Provincial Office building. In the evening, the sun is not too strong and the light shines beautifully on the building.
