Wat Chaiwatthanaram

Wat Chaiwatthanaram or Wat Chaiwatthanaram is an ancient temple from the late Ayutthaya period. It is located in Ban Pom Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, on the bank of the Chao Phraya River on the west side outside the city island. The architecture of the construction is unlike any other temple in Ayutthaya. Some of it was influenced by Khmer art, modeled after Angkor Wat, namely, there is a main prang and corner prangs on the same base in the middle of the area, surrounded by four other prangs. It is open to visitors every day from 08.30–16.30.
