Phu Ruea National Park

It is the coldest province in Thailand and is located on a high mountain top, so the weather is cool all year round. In winter, it is very cold, to the point that the dew on the grass freezes into ice crystals, which the locals call “Mae Khaning”. Those who plan to relax should prepare themselves to face the cold. On top of the boat is the Buddha statue of Nawabanpot, which the people of Phu Ruea brought from Ayutthaya. From the top of Phu Ruea, there is a hiking trail through an area with small flowers such as silver buttons, marigolds, and perapu, which bloom beautifully in winter. In the pine forest in the Tung Kwang Tai area, there are wild ginger flowers in early rainy season around May. In addition, there is a stone platform with shallow cracks in the stones where flowers that like to grow on the stones, such as running horse orchids, can be found everywhere.
