Perfect blend of tradition & modernity

First time in Phuket to volunteer at Soi Dog, stayed at Mai Khao Palm Beach and have been very impressed with many aspects of the hotel. There are great eco friendly touches- aircon goes off if the balcony doors are not fully closed, toilet roll holders without top covers force you to take only what you need. The overall design is clean and modern with traditional accents everywhere. Breakfast buffet is excellent - I’ve never seen fruits, salads, butter and cheese kept in chillers for guests to select, instead of in buffet line up. One negative point is that it rained throughout our stay and the restaurant was leaking/letting in water in several places! #maikhaobeach #soidog #mai Khao Palm Beach
