Spectacular Big Buddha, A Must-Visit!

Getting There - You can take Grab or ride up the hill. Note that it is better to use ride-hailing app with credit card tagged instead of choosing cash as the payment method. This is to avoid the driver from asking you for more money when you reach the destination. Attractions - The entrance is free. The Big Buddha is a spectacular sight as it is really huge, made of tiles of marble. The view from the hill is panaromic, a breath of fresh air in an otherwise crowded city. Things to note: Wear shirts with sleeves and trousers that cover the knees. You are required to purchase a scarf/wrap at the entrance for about 150 baht if you are wearing sleeveless or in shorts. Food & Restaurants - There are several hilltop eateries along the way to Big Buddha. We stopped by one for a drink and to escape the heat. Drinking with a view is indeed refreshing! Interesting thing to do: You can donate marble tiles starting from 300 baht and write well wishes on them. The tiles will be used in building/maintaining the Big Buddha structure. #tripblazers
