Amazing! The Nameless Tulou is the most impressive of all the tulous I've visited! 📍Wuming Tulou (now also called the Mysterious Tulou), Pinghe Wuzhai Tulou Ruins Perhaps this is the origin of the name "Colosseum-like Nameless Tulou." I first learned about it while working on the Pinghe County Tourism Development Plan. The information I gathered at the time referred to it as the "Colosseum-like Nameless Tulou." There were many theories and speculations about its origins, but I was deeply impressed by its name and photos. Later, I had the opportunity to visit the tulou and was struck by its grandeur, which the photos hadn't fully captured. Being there was truly awe-inspiring, and I couldn't stop sharing photos with a mentor who studies cultural heritage, trying to convey the sense of wonder. Over the years, I've visited dozens of tulous, large and small, including round tulous, square tulous, horseshoe-shaped tulous, and more. Among them are the world's largest tulou, Zhengcheng Lou; the 5A-rated Dadi Tulou, a World Heritage Site; and the exquisitely crafted Chengqi Lou, a national key cultural relic protection unit. However, the most impressive of all is still the Nameless Tulou. In the years since I first saw it, I've returned many times, witnessing its transformation from an abandoned, overgrown structure to the revitalized Mysterious Tulou. Whether overgrown and dilapidated or restored and pristine, it remains magnificent. Nameless Tulou or Mysterious Tulou, it is still the same. Strolling through it today, I can almost envision the future crowds of people taking photos. While I know it will eventually return to quietude, this colossal structure will stand as it always has, silently observing its own cycle of fame and obscurity. Centuries from now, after falling into disrepair once more, it will again bear the marks and craftsmanship of a future generation.
