National Gallery Prague (Trade Fair Palace): A Hidden Gem Full of Surprises! 🇨🇿🎨

#summervacay I absolutely love when a museum visit turns into a truly unexpected delight, offering both visual and spiritual enjoyment. That's exactly what happened when I explored the National Gallery Prague's Trade Fair Palace! I managed to go on a free admission day, and it was much larger than I anticipated. This branch of the National Gallery is indeed one of Prague's biggest, and I loved how thoughtfully organized it was by historical period. What I Explored: Contemporary Art: I started my journey on the lowest floor, diving into the diverse world of contemporary art. 19th-Century Realism: This section was surprisingly rich with "good works." I even picked out a favorite portrait to really appreciate. Impressionism - My Absolute Favorite! 🌟 This section is always a major highlight for me in any museum. While it might not house the world's most famous masterpieces, I was so delighted to find a significant collection of pieces by true masters! I saw works by Monet, Renoir, Pissarro, Van Gogh, Cézanne, Rousseau, and Gauguin. It was amazing to encounter such a strong collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art, offering a deep dive into some of art history's most beloved movements.
