| Ulanqab is really cold, but also really beautiful. Transportation 🚗: Drive to Ulanqab Volcano 🌋. If you're traveling alone, it's recommended to rent a car, as other transportation options are not very convenient. If you're driving, you need to go to the visitor center and fill in your license plate number to get a pass (there's no one checking on the road, so it's probably fine if you don't fill it in). About Saturday's event: There are events at Volcano No. 3, including performances, disco, and fireworks! But it's really cold at night. Many people stay in their cars to watch the fireworks, which is quite romantic. The event starts at around 4:30 pm, and the fireworks are set off at around 7:30 pm! It's recommended to go early to avoid traffic! But if you're just taking photos, you can skip the fireworks show, as it's cold 🥶 and the fireworks don't last long. Time 🕰️: We arrived at around 3 pm that day. There's still some distance to drive from the visitor center, and it was almost sunset by then. The journey was so beautiful! But there wasn't much time left for taking photos, and it got even colder after sunset, with strong winds!!! Wear more clothes! So if you want to take photos, you can set off in the morning.
