Bamboo lanterns, a solid wood long table, celadon tea sets, and koi swimming in the entrance fishpond all exude the Zen charm of Jiangnan. We sat by the tea table, watching sunlight filter through the carved screen, painting dappled patterns on the hardwood floor. ▪ Rooms We booked the "Fortune" king room but were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite with a tea lounge. The intricate wood carvings on the headboard even emitted a natural insect-repelling fragrance. The room radiates a relaxed, wabi-sabi vibe, with excellent natural light and artful🎨 details in every corner. The next morning, we were awakened by birdsong. The Xiaomi projector by the bed still had last night’s unfinished movie paused. Following the homestay’s hand-drawn map, we found delicious ginger duck at the alley entrance, as recommended by the butler. Upon leaving, the owner even prepared handmade tea leaves as a parting gift—a truly delightful surprise.
