From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for a treat. The city's ancient ruins, Vatican City, and delicious Italian cuisine made me feel like I was in a different world. My trip began with a flight from Singapore to Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport, which cost me around $800. After arriving, I took a taxi to my hotel in the city center, which cost around $50. My hotel was centrally located, making it easy to explore the city. For the next few days, I explored the city using the efficient metro system, which cost around $2 per ride. Here are some of the top places I visited: - Colosseum: $12 entrance fee (I learned about the history of gladiators) - Vatican City: free entrance, but Vatican Museums cost $20 (I saw the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica) - Roman Forum: $12 entrance fee (I explored the ancient ruins) - Pantheon: free entrance (I admired the stunning architecture) - Trevi Fountain: free entrance (I made a wish and took in the beautiful scenery) - Spanish Steps: free entrance (I people-watched and enjoyed the street performers) I also took a day trip to Pompeii, which cost around $100 for a return train ticket.
