Legends are just legends after all, but the scenery here really makes people marvel at the wonders of nature. |This is a giant rock, dozens of meters long, wide and high, with a huge stone chamber underneath that can accommodate thousands of people. What is even more magical is that there are two streams of clear springs flowing down from the rocks, one falls into the deep pool, and the other falls on the rocks below. After passing Haiyun Temple and Wanggui Rock, there is a site of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. After the Taiping Army retreated from Tianjing, they fled to this mountain and built fortifications to deal with the attacks of the Qing army. Now only the earth walls remain. They are made of a mixture of lime, sugar, clay, etc. Despite hundreds of years of wind and rain, they are still very strong. Next is a steep mountain road, at the end of which is a narrow strip of sky. However, there is another scenic spot on the mountain called Qianzhang Cliff, which is the highest point that can be climbed in Luohan Rock. You need to use your hands and feet to get up here and overlook the Chenshi Lake below and the mountains next to it that are surrounded like lions. It is really an infinite scenery on the dangerous peak. Coming down from the Thousand-foot Cliff, we returned to the Thin Line of Sky, which is the natural barrier of Luohan Rock, with an altitude of more than 300 meters. It is said that it was cut open by Li Tieguai with just one finger. To go down from here, you must use the iron chains installed on both sides, otherwise it will be difficult to complete. When climbing down, you have to walk backwards, maybe it would be easier to climb up. After getting to the bottom safely, I thought I had returned to Luohan Rock at first, but later I found that I was still above Luohan Rock and there was still a long way to go. Fortunately, there are mountain springs along the way. This is the source of the waterfall we saw at Luohan Rock just now. Although we climbed up and down all the way, we still enjoyed it. There is a cave on the roadside called Young King Rock, which was where the young king of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, Hong Ganzhong, lived. After the fall of Tianjing in 1864, Li Xiucheng, the Zhongwang, and Hong Shijue, the Ganwang, led the young king to station their remaining troops at Luohan Rock and built fortifications to resist the attack of the officers and soldiers, but they were ultimately unable to escape and were captured and killed by the Qing army. There are mountain springs along the way, and soon you can see Danbi Rock next to Luohan Rock from the sky. From here you come to the lake, walk along the ring road around the lake towards the exit of the scenic area, pass through a small hole that you have to hunch over to pass through, and then there is another narrow strip of sky, which is called the Sword-Testing Stone, and outside is the gate of the scenic area.
