Visiting Sagaing, Myanmar

#favouriteitinerary Although the Sagaing City doesn’t have a lot of places that tourists might be interested in, this place is my mom’s birth city. The bridge in the background of the 1st and 3rd photo is known as the Sagaing Bridge, which was built by the British while we were under their rule during World War II. This bridge connects Mandalay and Sagaing City. The city has a mountain that has a lot of popular temples and pagodas with a long history! They sell english translated books there if you’re keen to learn its history. We went to this beautiful temples where a local kid drew a leaf shaped Tanakha on my mom’s face.
