Phra That In Hang or Phra That Chai Thiyo

Today we will take you to visit Kyaiktiyo Pagoda or Kyaiktiyo Pagoda in Myanmar. It is a sacred and important place for the Myanmar people. Actually, this picture was taken 3 years ago when I had the chance to visit a neighboring country. This was the first country I wanted to visit. Maybe because I like reading books about Myanmar, I wanted to see the real place. Many cities in Myanmar are very charming. I still want to go there again. It is similar to Kyaiktiyo Pagoda or the locals call it Kyaiktiyo Pagoda, which means the hermit's head rock. It is located in Kyaikto Township, Thaton District, Mon State. We had to take a truck or some people call it a pig truck😅 to go up. Along the way, there will be stops to change drivers. The way up is very scary, high, and very curvy. Before reaching the way up, we have to walk to pay homage to Kyaiktiyo Pagoda. We can change to take a cable car, but we chose to take the car. When we got there, we walked up. Women must dress appropriately. If not, there will be sarongs for us to rent. When we got there, we went to buy a bell to hang. Women are not allowed to go near the pagoda. After praying, we asked our guide and friend to hang it for us instead. The atmosphere while walking up was very beautiful. There was light fog. There were Burmese children who helped carry our bags or found things to sell to us. There were so many that we had to buy some. That trip was fun, exciting, and showed the faith of the people there. After typing this, I really wanted to go again. If anyone has the chance, you shouldn't miss this place.
