Must-try Izakaya in Sai Wan

Today I was shopping around Hong Kong Island, and after getting tired, I looked for something to eat nearby. I found this Izakaya with beautiful Japanese-style decor, so I decided to give it a try. 🤓 I ordered the Miyazaki A4 Wagyu 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷. The beef flavor was quite strong, and the fat and lean meat were well-balanced. The texture was tender and not chewy. I loved it! 🤩 The appetizer that came with it was garlic sauce whelk meat. The sauce was sweet and appetizing, and the whelk meat was very chewy. Next, I ordered my favorite grilled dried cod 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷. It's a must-have every time I go to an Izakaya. It was so crispy, like eating potato chips. 😂 The Miyazaki black pork sausage 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 was grilled, making the meat flavor even stronger. It was juicy when bitten into, and dipping it in some mustard sauce added a spicy kick, making it very enjoyable. The garlic and salt-grilled beef short ribs 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 had a chewy texture but were not tough. The added salt enhanced the beef flavor. I found the garlic-grilled version to be a pleasant surprise because garlic is usually added to seafood, not beef. The garlic flavor didn't overpower the beef, and both flavors were distinct and well-matched. The grilled chicken with green onions 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 was my favorite. The green onions were grilled to bring out their sweetness and juiciness, and the chicken was tender. The grilling sauce added a lot of flavor. The grilled sweet potato and corn 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 were delicious. The sweet potato was tender and sweet, and the corn was coated with grilling sauce, making it sweet and savory. The juices burst out when bitten into. The salt-grilled pork neck 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 was tender and not too salty. The pork flavor was strong. The sakura shrimp and squid stick 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 had visible pieces of sakura shrimp and squid inside. It was flavorful and chewy. The lamb rack 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 was carefully wrapped by the chef to prevent dirtying your hands. It wasn't too gamey and paired well with the mustard sauce. The grilled eel 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 was made with fresh eel. The fish was grilled just right, not too dry, and had a bouncy texture. The skin was crispy, and the grilling sauce added a lot of flavor. The grilled scallop skewer 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 was not overcooked, retaining its freshness. The scallops were large and paired well with wasabi and grilling sauce, making it sweet and spicy. The Angus beef udon 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 was perfect for the cold weather. The hot udon warmed me up, and the noodles were chewy. The combination of kelp and beef made it very satisfying. Finally, I ordered two bottles of grape-flavored Red Fuji soda 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷. The grape flavor was strong, and it was the perfect drink after a meal. I love this brand of soda. I didn't expect to find such a delightful Izakaya. 👍🏻 I'll bring my friends next time to try other dishes.
