Wat Kalong

Wat Kalong is located in Moo 1, Ban Kalong Bon, Kalong Subdistrict, Mueang Samut Sakhon District, Samut Sakhon Province. The temple is renowned for its sacred objects created by Phra Khru Samut Thammasunthorn (Sut Siritharo), who was famous throughout the region and was the mentor of Tee Yai, a notorious bandit in the past. It is said that he gave amulets to Tee Yai, which helped him evade capture by authorities. Phra Khru Samut Thammasunthorn was also the originator of the Takraw Yantra, known for its protective powers. The Takraw Yantra was created by Luang Pho Sut through a consecration process using Khmer, Cambodian, and Lao languages, and it became highly popular among his disciples. The highlight of the temple is the large statue of Luang Pu Sut Siritharo, which is enshrined in front of the mondop, where visitors can pay their respects and seek blessings.
