Houhai Sanya | A sea of people

Getting There - Didi (45min from Sanya Bay)🚘 Attractions - Ocean with mini waves. 🏝️ Hotels - Houhai Nanuna Food & Restaurants - Burger shop. 🍔 Shopping - Night street marget (vintage vibes). We arrived at Houhai village at around 9am. Most shops were still closed and there were dirt and garbage everywhere (on the beach and on the streets).Not to mention it smelled REALLY bad. This was the first indication of the amount of people that visit this village on a daily basis. Small waves were crashing on the shoreline and Everything looked very beautiful and peaceful. We then rented some surf boards at Nanuna hotel, they gave the best rates. It was fun playing in the water with the surf boards, but the amount of people streaming in was mind blowing. This beach has a really nice atmosphere and I can imagine it could be lovely visiting it during off season. At around 6pm we headed back, the traffic was insane and our Didi driver took around an hour to get to us (only 2km). Houhai is nice, but the human factor does steal some joy from the whole experience. If you are not into crowded places, I would recommend giving Houhai a skip. #camping#campingglamping#infinitypool#beaches
