Tanuki Komichi, an indoor shopping mall with many Sapporo izakayas

Introducing Tanuki Komichi in Tanukikoji, Sapporo. Tanukikoji is a long arcade that runs through downtown Sapporo. It is a shopping street with a covered ceiling and many delicious restaurants, so it is great to visit on a rainy day. I happened to find Tanuki Komichi while walking through the arcade, and it was a place where several pubs and seafood restaurants were gathered in one building. First of all, the interior of Tanuki Komichi was very clean, and it was nice that you could enjoy both meals and drinks in one building. It felt like a small town, didn't it? When I visited, it was after lunch time, so many places were closed and quiet, but if you visit in the evening when there are many people, you will feel a more lively atmosphere. I had the seafood rice bowl kaisendon here, and it was fresh and delicious, so I was very satisfied.
