Sakanaya, located across from Nijo Market, is a kaisendon specialty restaurant. I was planning to revisit 'Donbe' that I posted about earlier, but I wanted to try other places, so I visited. I ordered the 3,300 yen kaisendon. The reason I was surprised when the food came out!? The shrimp were alive...😦 You can see how fresh it was, right? It was fluttering around until I almost finished eating my rice...! In addition, there were so many seafoods on top, such as tuna, salmon, salmon roe, scallops, conch, white fish, octopus, and sea urchin roe, and I was amazed the whole time I was eating. When seafood is sweet, it means it's really fresh and delicious, right? There are so many great restaurants in Nijo Market.. The interior of the restaurant is not that big, but they used the space well, and it was full of other customers.
