[ 🌳A place with a huge, lonely tree, Haemi-eupseong ] I visited Haemi-eupseong in Seosan!〰️〰️ Haemi-eupseong is a stone fortress from the Joseon Dynasty located in Seosan Eupnae-ri, and is Historic Site No. 116. It is a place where Catholic believers were tortured during the Byeongin Persecution in 1866, and a stone monument remains outside the West Gate as a martyrdom monument. Because of this historical fact, Pope Francis visited Haemi-eupseong and Haemi Martyrdom Shrine in 2014. Haemi-eupseong is very large, so it is a good place to walk slowly. When you enter through Jinnammun, you will see a large tree like this, and I took a pretty picture of it. Maybe it was because the weather was warm, but many people were enjoying a walk. It is the perfect place to visit on a warm spring day like today!!
