The Hwanki Art Museum reopened today

The Hwanki Art Museum reopened today (12.6). The Hwanki Art Museum was established in 1992 in Buam-dong, Seoul by Kim Hyang-an, the wife of Kim Hwanki, in order to honor the artistic world of Kim Hwanki, a pioneer of Korean abstract art, and to support contemporary artists. The Hwanki Art Museum, which reopened after a large-scale renovation in February, is presenting the special reopening exhibition <Eternal Things: Things That Existed Not for Someone Else, but by Themselves>. This exhibition contains the story of how the fleeting moments that Kim Hwanki saw and felt throughout his artistic journey throughout his life were born as works of art. The theme of the art world that Kim Hwanki constantly pondered while working in Korea, Paris, and New York was 'nature'. To him, nature was an absolute artistic inspiration and companion, and a device that projected his inner world. Through this opening exhibition, I hope you will contemplate the artistic world of 'nature' that blossomed in Kim Hwanki's life.
