Shanghai Pudong International Airport Terminal 1

Of the two international airports in Shanghai, this is the gateway to the sky, located in the Pudong district. It is located about 30km east of the city center. There are stations for the Shanghai Transrapid (linear motor car) and subway line 2 between terminals 1 and 2, allowing smooth access from the city. It is about 60km away from Hongqiao Airport in the Puxi district, and you will need to travel by subway line 2, limousine bus, or taxi. Airlines such as China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, and JAL depart and arrive from Terminal 1, and it is often used by Japanese people. The building has probably been there since the port opened in 1999, but the distinctive structure of thick cables connecting the white pillars extending from the ceiling is memorable. #ShanghaiTourism
