“Kanazawa's Pixel Friends” Pop-up Exhibition

The Story Shop on Yuyuan Road has been transformed into a “Pixel World,” gathering the stylistic creations of nearly 20 young artists from both domestic and international backgrounds, along with interesting and practical derivative cultural and creative products. Upon arriving at the Story Shop, one can see that the shop's sign, front door, and windows are all adorned with pixel-style decorations, attracting many passersby to stop and take photos. Inside the shop, the combination of text and images in the “story strips” is eye-catching, allowing visitors to quickly learn about the participating artists' personal information and a brief introduction to their works. It is understood that these artists all come from the “East Asian Pixel Universe Community,” and they share a common hobby—pixel art. Using pixels as a medium, the artists incorporate elements of culture, games, architecture, TV shows, and more, presenting them through a rich variety of styles. During the pop-up exhibition, the artists will take turns serving as the “shop owner for a day.” The shop's exhibits will be regularly updated, and small activities such as fan interactions and handmade experiences will be held.
