Shanghai Exhibition Center was built in 1955. Originally named the Sino-Soviet Friendship Building, it is one of Shanghai's representative buildings and the first large building built in Shanghai in the 1950s. It is also a Russian classical-style building. The site of the Shanghai Exhibition Center was originally the private garden of the British Jew Hardoon, known as the Hardoon Garden. The building faces south, with a large square and a musical fountain in front. The main building stands in the center, with a gilded steel tower on top, complementing the main tower. Shanghai, China
