Capella Shanghai Capella Hotels and Resorts was voted the Best Hotel Brand in the World in 2023 by Travel + Leisure magazine. If I could only recommend one hotel in Shanghai, it would be Capella Shanghai. Compared to the luxury of the Waldorf Astoria and the prestige of the Fairmont Peace Hotel, Capella Shanghai has a stronger Shanghai style and a more homely and private feel. I love its unique architectural structure, the Shikumen lane combines traditional Jiangnan architecture with European terraced houses, and the three-story old house has a charming Republic of China style. The interior style is also a perfect combination of Chinese elements and French elegance. The Republic of China-style lattice windows, three-dimensional bird and flower paintings, the natural transition between the patio and the living room, and the dreamy and elegant furniture and color scheme. The location is also well chosen, quiet yet commercial.
