You absolutely *have* to stay at this hotel when you're in Shanghai!!!

📍Location: The hotel is located on Weihai Road, which connects to Nanjing West Road. It's right next to HKRI Taikoo Hui, so there's plenty to eat and see. It's also super convenient that there are malls just steps away from the hotel. Unfortunately, I wasn't there for leisure, so I didn't have time to explore. Such a shame. However, there are tons of bars within walking distance🍹, and the hotel even has its own outdoor terrace bar, ZUK bar. Definitely worth checking out! ⛺Room: I stayed in what I believe was the most basic room type. Even though it was the most basic, the room was surprisingly spacious, easily over 45 square meters. The first things you see upon entering are the luggage rack and a small wardrobe, both with a lovely wooden aesthetic. The open closet even had small fragrant sachets hanging inside, also with a subtle woody scent. I absolutely loved it. Another noteworthy feature is the huge long table behind the bed. Wow! Super practical! You can work, do your skincare routine, put on makeup, all at the same table without having to clear things away to make space. I really appreciated that! Another small detail I liked was the bathroom. The shower area doesn't have a separate door, so it's semi-open, kind of like the resorts you find in coastal cities! Also, the accessories on the vanity and bathtub are all made of wood. Love it!😍 The only minor issue I had was with the full-length mirror. It's placed on either side of the long sofa, so if you want to check out your OOTD, you have to squeeze yourself onto the end of the sofa to get a good look. And right next to it is a floor-to-ceiling window, so everyone can check you out too! (Though, it's possible this design is specific to this room type…💁‍♀️) Oh! And the bathrobes are so comfy! I've noticed that newer hotels these days provide really comfortable bathrobes. They're not the old-school hotel towel-style material anymore. Now they're all soft and fluffy. Seriously comfortable! 🎑Common Areas / 🥣Breakfast: Oops, sorry, I was too tired and busy to experience them. What a missed opportunity! I'll have to try them next time.😬 Overall, my stay at this hotel was very comfortable (perhaps the abundance of wood design added to my positive impression). I also noticed that The Sukhothai Shanghai has a crossover with Kop & Kande for the next couple of months, and some rooms are furnished with K&K furniture and decorations. It must feel like a true home away from home. That's all!🏡
