Xujiahui Library is a beautiful library in the Xujiahui district that reopened in 2023 after renovations. It has two basement levels and three above-ground floors, with an open central atrium that gives a sense of spaciousness. A 3D-printed monument with a Chinese aesthetic is also placed in the center. On the first floor of the library, there is an attached café. From the terrace on the second floor, you can get a high view of the neighboring Xujiahui Cathedral, and from the third floor, you can overlook the entire library through the central atrium. Most of the books in the library are in Chinese, so it might be challenging to read them if you don't understand the language. However, experiencing how Chinese people engage with books can be a valuable experience. Enjoy the library's atmosphere.
