Shanghai local friend took me to a must-visit restaurant in Shanghai.

🇨🇳 Shanghai, China (中国上海) ♥️ Maotou Restaurant (毛头老爹饭馆) A few days ago, I went on a 5-night, 6-day trip to China. The first destination of my trip was Shanghai. I have a friend who lives in Shanghai, and every time I visit, they treat me to delicious meals at local restaurants. This time, my local friend introduced me to Maotou Restaurant (毛头老爹饭馆), a popular spot in Shanghai. Maotou Restaurant (毛头老爹饭馆) has two locations in Shanghai, and we visited the Jing'an Temple (静安) branch. It's a favorite among both locals and tourists, so while we were dining, there was a long waiting line. Fortunately, my friend had made a reservation in advance, so we were able to start eating right away. At Maotou Restaurant, we ordered must-try dishes like Dongpo Pork and vegetable fried rice, along with several other dishes. The Dongpo Pork was incredibly tender, melting in the mouth, and the seasoning was perfectly balanced—not too strong. The tomato egg soup was also mild and paired wonderfully with the other dishes. Especially noteworthy was the scallion oil noodles, which the staff mixed for us on the spot. The scallion oil was evenly distributed, making it a delightful dish that had us applauding as we ate. If you're traveling to Shanghai, I highly recommend Maotou Restaurant (毛头老爹饭馆) for a taste of traditional Shanghai cuisine.
