Image Boundaries | See Dutch Artists' Unique Photography

If you don't look at the exhibition title or introduction, you might think that the works on display are designs or paintings 🎨. Unlike traditional photography, in the artists' capture 📸 of these still lifes, you can see an artistic presentation in the simple lines and colors, which is very innovative. "Scheltens & Abbenes" is a Dutch photographic art duo, a partnership between a photographer 🧑‍🎨 and a visual artist. Their photography is simple yet highly artistic, and it allows the subjects to be presented in a completely different way than usual, which is 👍 very interesting. ⭕️ Selected Works ✅ Dutch Food History Series "Potato": This series uses traditional cookbooks 📖, paintings, and 3D objects to create static works. Peeling tools, peeled potatoes 🥔, and unpeeled potatoes are arranged and photographed. In addition to the comfortable composition, the series also presents a 🎨 painting-like effect. ✅ "Soap" series: This series captures scenes of old carpets from flea markets being cleaned 🧽. The different colors and patterns of the carpets themselves, and the white foam 🫧 formed during the soap cleaning process create various textures on the carpets. 🔎 Zooming in on the local details, the photographs resemble 🌊 waves, completely subverting ordinary visual perception. ✅ Stacking series: Second-hand coats and sweaters 🧶 of different colors are neatly arranged and placed on a velvet carpet for photographing. This visual combination of color combinations and the rearrangement of the items creates a good visual effect and feeling with a sense of 👉 order and simplicity. I personally like 💕 this exhibition very much. It subverts people's perception of traditional 📸 photography.
