Visitors from out of town, be sure to save this guide!🥹🥹 🎫 Admission to Shenzhen Astronomical Observatory: Free ⌚ Time needed: 2 hrs 🅿 Navigate to "Xichong Beach Parking Lot No. 4." Ample parking is available. 🚌 A shuttle bus is available from the parking lot entrance to the mountaintop boardwalk entrance for CNY 10/person. 🚘 Driving from downtown Shenzhen to the observatory takes about 1.5 hrs (driving is very convenient). 🚢 You can take a boat back for CNY 50/person. We heard the road was very rough, so we opted to walk back up the stairs to the top and take the shuttle bus back. ⚠ Reservations are required to visit the observatory building at the summit. 📷 Photo spots at Shenzhen Astronomical Observatory: ✔ Walk down the boardwalk. Between the reservation-required section and the start of the non-reservation section, there's a stretch of boardwalk with stunning scenery and fewer people. Set up your tripod and take a photo with the blue sea—it's especially picturesque. ✔ Enter the non-reservation section of the boardwalk. This part will be more crowded, and the further down you go, the closer you get to the sea. Open your arms, smile naturally at the camera, and take some amazing selfies. ✔ If you encounter beautiful scenery along the way but it's crowded, we recommend using a handheld selfie stick. The selfie stick I brought extends to the perfect length at the sixth section, allowing for effortless photos without deliberate framing, perfectly capturing the beautiful scenery while avoiding the crowds. 💡 Things to note when visiting Shenzhen Astronomical Observatory: Don't bring a selfie stick that's too big or heavy, or you'll regret it on the climb! The selfie stick I brought is smaller than a small bottle of Nongfu Spring water and fits perfectly in my pocket! Plus, if you want to view your photos along the way, the phone clip on the selfie stick can be easily detached without constantly reattaching your phone, which is super convenient!
