Kunming Stone Forest

Getting There - We started from Kunming South Railway Station. 18 minute train journey from there to Shilin West Station followed by a 1 hour bus journey to the stone forest. You see the buses immediately upon exiting the train station. Attractions - Major stone forest and minor stone forest. The major stone forest can get crowded. I would advise to go to some of the other scenic areas as there are few people and some amazing views. Hotels - There are hotels at the forest or you can choose to stay in Kunming city or Kunming South Railway Station. We stayed close to the south station but I would recommend staying in the city instead as there will be more to do. Food & Restaurants - There are some stalls inside the park and, especially at the major forest area but mostly just snacks.
