[Shizuoka Prefecture] Shimoda, June

In early June, I went to Shimoda in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan to see hydrangeas. Other famous places for hydrangeas include Kamakura and Uji, but these are in the Japanese gardens of temples and shrines, and many people gather in a limited area, so they are often crowded. In comparison, Shimoda has many hydrangeas spread across a small, wide hill, making it possible to take photos without other people in them. The best time to see hydrangeas is usually around June. Shimoda is close to the beautiful sea, has delicious seafood, and has an aquarium, so it is recommended for families and those who want to eat delicious sushi. #Japan #Shizuoka #June
